As the air in your home circulates, it picks up dust, lint,
particles from dead dustmites, pollen, mold, and a host of
other microscopic intruders. Unless these allergens are removed
from the air, they continue to circulate and can cause sneezing,
coughing and other breathing problems for everyone in the
house.
Installing an electrostatic filter on your central system's
return air vents is one way to help clean the air--but there
is a drawback. The filter only works when your central unit
is blowing air during the heating or cooling process. Since
most units run only about 60% to 70% of the time, that means
the air in your home is being filtered only 60% to 70% of
the time. If you turn your central system off, as some of
us do during the mild days of spring and fall, the air in
your home is getting zero filtering! Whatever comes into or
is stirred up in your home goes into your nose or settles
back onto the furniture--to be stirred up again.
With the Amaircare whole house unit installed, the
air is filtered through HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate
Arresting) filters and put back into circulation continuously--24
hours a day/7days a week/365 days of the year regardless of
the state of your central unit. That's because the Amaircare
unit has its own blowers and operates independent of your
central system's fan. This is a major benefit over many other
so-called whole house units that depend on airflow from your
central system fan to push or pull air through them. Be sure
and ask anyone proposing a "whole house" unit about
this very important point. If it only works when your central
system is running, don't waste your money.
Every installation can also have a fresh air supply line
added to introduce outside air into your home after it has
been filtered through the Amaircare system.
The system may be installed on any central unit regardless
of where the blower is located. Shown here are typical attic, outside,
and basement/crawlspace installations.
Unit size for your home is determined using total square
footage, average ceiling heights, and the number of thermostats
in use. Please call us toll-free for help in determining the
estimated cost of adding an Amaircare unit to your home. Prices
start at about $1,000. If you or someone in your home suffers
from airborne allergens, it'll be some of the best money you've
spent in your life.
Stage 1: Activated Carbon Pre-filter
Removes large particulates and odors.
Stage 2: HEPA filter
99.97% efficient @ 0.3 microns. Removes dust, pollen, mold,
bacteria, animal dander, attached viruses, cigarette smoke,
radon daughters and more.
Stage 3: Optional V.O.C. filter (smoke)
(that's the one lying on its side beside the unit) Removes
smoke and chemicals that may come from cleaners, paints, solvents,
carpet, furniture and other items containing synthetic materials.
Unlike other whole-house systems, the Amaircare®
Central Air Filtration System keeps working even when the
central system isnt running.
No Harmful Byproducts
The Amaircare® Air Filtration System does not produce
toxins such as ozone.
Continuous Airflow produces other benefits too
Reduces heat stratification
Creates dehumidifying effect that discourages mold
